Chelsi's Run

The 3rd annual "Chelsi's Run" was held on July 15 (her 23 birthday). 

She passed away just 2 years ago in June in a tragic car accident in Provo Canyon.

It still seems like a dream.

She was an amazing gymnast and track star...

and an amazing person.

We grew up together because our mom's are in the same group of best friends.

They have the best friends and do everything together.

They have ever since 3rd grade.

And they're the best looking 48 year olds I've ever seen. :)

When Chelsi passed away my mom was trying to think of something to do on her birthday.

She came up with the brilliant idea of doing a 5K/fun run and raising money for a scholarship.

The "groupie" got together and made a plan.

3 weeks later they hosted a 5k that 1000+ people showed up to.

It gave me the chills to see so many people there.

This year was the 3rd and there are still so many people that come at 10 pm, in 110 degree weather.

It gives me the chills every time to see so many people there for a good cause.

It was Ty's first time...and way past bedtime.

He fell asleep on the way there.

He was just in a daze the whole night...not crying, not smiling.

He was asleep as soon as we got in the car to come home.
