Brush Brush Brush

Last week I was able to go to the special needs department at the high school and teach them about oral healthcare. It was a lot of fun to teach the kids and do fun activities. We started with a test asking questions they may not know, because we hadn't taught anything yet. Then we proceeded to talk about brushing, plaque, flossing, and healthy foods for our teeth. We did a fun flossing activity where two of them volunteered to be teeth, and we flossed them with a jumprope. At the end, we painted pink stuff on their teeth that sticks to the plaque so they could see where they need to brush better, then gave them a toothbrush to brush it off. Now in a month we're going to go back and give them the same test again to see how well they remember.
